Leafy greens are super good for you!
KALE is one of the best leafy greens to help combat ageing. It’s packed with antioxidants, and vitamin C, which protects against free radical damage. Its Sulforaphane compounds assist in liver detoxification, while healthy omega-3 fats nourish the skin and help prevent dryness and wrinkles.
It’s abundant in vitamin A, an important nutrient for eye health, and vitamin K and calcium, needed for strong bones and to prevent osteoporosis.
What do YOU like to dehydrate? We'd love to hear from you in the comments 🙂

You can dehydrate almost any fresh food - and some things work better than others.

Here are just a few examples:
  *  Fruits ~ eat as snacks; or chop and add to granola and trail mixes; or dried as purees for fruit leather/rollups.
  *  Vegetables ~ eat as snacks and chips; or add to soups, stews, and backpacking meals.
  *  Meat, poultry, and fish ~ all sorts of jerky; add to backpacking meals; or store for soup and stew ingredients.
  *  Nuts, seeds & Sprouted grains ~ eat as snacks; or store for flours, granolas, and baking.
  *  Herbs ~ use in teas, baking, and cooking.
  *  Crackers, breads, and granolas for raw food diets.

Doing so makes the nuts begin to sprout, which causes the enzymes inside the nuts break down. In their sprouting state, all of the proteins, vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids are activated, which means your body can absorb them all and get the most out of them, whether you're just eating them as a snack or adding them to a meal. Inactivated nuts, whether they are raw or roasted, contain enzyme inhibitors that prevent your digestive system from extracting all of their valuable nutrients.
