These super flexible, dishwasher safe, BPA free, food grade solid dehydrator sheets are coated with a non-stick Dupont Teflon surface for preparing your fruit leathers, rollups & natural sweet treats etc.
Available in two sizes:
Standard: fits all 5 and 9 tray model Excalibur dehydrators, as well as the EXC10EL. Each sheet measures in at 36 cm (14") square.
Small: fits the RES10 10 tray Excalibur dehydrator. Each sheet measures in at 26 cm x 33cm.
ParaFlexx Premium dehydrator sheets (formally called Teflex) are used for dehydrating semi-liquids (such as pureed fruits) or really sticky items that would normally drip through the mesh sheets that are included with the dehydrator. The foods peel off the ParaFlexx Premium sheet quickly & clean up is easy. The sheets are made specifically so you can use them over & over again.
ParaFlexx Premium sheets are also very useful when drying products that drip. Placing one in a tray at the bottom of the dryer saves having to clean drips off the base of the unit.
The important difference between the ParaFlexx Premium & ParaFlexx Ultra dehydrator sheets is the coating used - where the ParaFlexx Premium sheets are coated with a Dupont Teflon for the non-stick surface, the Ultra sheets use silicone.
ParaFlexx Premium sheets have a slightly longer life than the ParaFlexx Ultra (silicone) sheets, and don't flake or chip easily as they are very durable. The Teflon used in their coating shouldn't ever be a worry, as the highest temperature the Excalibur can reach is not hot enough to release any toxins. Additionally, the ParaFlexx Premium sheets are slightly thinner than the ParaFlexx Ultra, which results in better dehydration.
